Dear
Friends and Partners!
Thank
you for being a friend and Partner of JESUS Film
Harvest Partners.
My
name is Chuck Watson and since this is my first
letter I have written under the banner of JESUS
Film, I will assume that I know some of you and
some I may be meeting for the first time. Therefore,
if I say something you already know, just ignore
it and read on. Since I am the newest member of
the JESUS Film team, I will begin by telling you
a little bit about myself and family first, followed
by some exciting things which are happening at
JESUS Film.
I
was born and raised on a farm in Tipp City, Ohio.
Following college at Olivet Nazarene University,
I worked briefly for General Motors and then for
American Airlines for 25 years. Even as a layman
I felt God calling me to service and volunteered
most all my weekends and vacation time for mission
trips. As a result, my wife, Vickie (Boone)
Watson, and our family started a Widows and Orphans
ministry in January of 2000. God blessed our networking
efforts and by August of 2002, I accepted a much-expanded
responsibility by being a missionary on special
assignment with the Church of the Nazarene as the
Africa Partnership Coordinator. Not only did I
get to work with the widows and orphans of Africa,
but assist the Field Directors and Education and
Aviation Coordinators in feeding the poor, evangelism,
medical, education, and mission aviation, just
to name a few.

My
family in Africa —
on 6 week mission trip
|
This
year God has led me to go beyond Africa to the
whole world and assist in the effort to tell
every man on earth about Jesus. Therefore,
from now on, I will be sending you an e-Newsletter
giving new updates about what is happening through
the JESUS Film ministry around the globe. Sometimes
I may just share with you whatever is on my mind
or heart.
Now,
a little bit about my wonderful family...Vickie
and I were married 20 years ago this June 30. God
has blessed us with five wonderful children, Sterling
(14), Heidi (12), Holly (10), Landon (8) and Victoria
(6). Four of them play the violin and one the cello
and so my wife has formed a family orchestra with
her playing the piano. Upon returning from our
most recent six-week trip to Africa where the children
played 15 times, God has continued to open many
doors of opportunity for ministry.
Speaking
of open doors, allow me to tell you about an open
door at JESUS Film for each of us. One of the newest
opportunities within the JESUS Film ministry is
for each of us to become a Harvest 120
Partner.
Your
first question may be, “What is a Harvest
120 Partner?” It’s one who
enables 120 people to accept Jesus in one year. A
Harvest 120 partner donates one dollar per day
for one year, or $30 per month, or $360 per year.
On the average, for each $3.00 which the ministry
receives, one person will accept Jesus into his
heart and the church will begin the discipleship
process. When a check is sent to JESUS Film Harvest
Partners, the check memo can be marked “Harvest
120 - N0404” or the donation can be made
by using a credit
card. If you already sponsor a JESUS Film team(s),
or country, you are already a Harvest 120 Partner
many times over.
When
my six year old says, “Daddy, will you hold
me?” it reminds me that we must hold each
new baby Christian’s hand when he accepts
Jesus into his heart. It is like saying, “Daddy,
will you hold me?”
Please
write or call me if you have any questions about
the ministry of JESUS Film or your donation/pledge,
or about the new Harvest 120 opportunity. Until
next month, may God bless you richly. It is great
to be a part of the JESUS Film team in assisting
in building the Kingdom of God.
Blessings.
