Dear Friend and Partner,

11 Person Team
The Brown and O'Neil Families
from San Luis Obispo, CA

Some people choose vacations for pure pleasure only; others choose to combine pleasure and ministry. Today I want to share with you two wonderful reports on how God used two JESUS Film ministry teams, one of two families and another of a Church. In both cases, families chose to use their vacation time for kingdom building. Also, in both cases, the parents took their children to experience sharing Jesus with those much less fortunate in the country of Guatemala.

The Josh/Cathie Brown and Richard/Laura O'Neil families are from San Luis Obispo, California. The church JESUS Film team is from Marysville, Washington. You may remember Nathan, the lemonade stand boy who raised funds for JESUS Film. His father, Dale, and older sister, Dacia, went on this trip with the church group.

Families on a Life Changing Mission

Guatemalan mother receiving
bag of food from JESUS Film Team

Instead of an exotic family vacation, the Brown and O’Neil families, including their seven children (an 11 person team), decided to take a set of JESUS Film equipment to the Northern Guatemalan District, the very first set this district has ever received.

When they arrived in Panajache to show the JESUS Film it was raining, but they prayed and the rain stopped until the end of the film. Around 100 people attended the showing and 12 accepted Christ. God is incredible!

In Sololá, they again prayed for the rain to stop, and it did for showing the JESUS Film to nearly 500 people in the town square. Forty-nine people came forward to accept Christ. Afterwards, the Brown and O’Neil children (ranging in age from 7-17 years old) distributed bags of food to 102 families. This was yet another expression of love shared.

Dental Hygience Seminar "Brushers"

In Jaibalito, a town of 700, they held Bible School and a dental hygiene seminar. Richard and Laura also held a medical clinic in the house where the Jaibalito church meets. They saw 40 needy children and gave them medicine and vitamins. In the afternoon they handed out another 60 bags of food. That night the JESUS Film was shown and 10 of the 200+ in attendance accepted the Lord.

Eric Chapeta, the District Superintendent from Petén (northern Guatemala), drove at least 12 hours to meet the group and receive the district’s very first JESUS Film equipment. Josh and Richard handed him an entire set of JESUS Film equipment and they prayed over the ministry that would come from this great gift. Eight communities on the Petén district have already organized JESUS Film showings and follow-up for the coming weeks! Cell groups will be started and churches will be organized in the coming months in large part due to this one district’s first set of JESUS Film equipment.

This incredible trip was powered by much prayer and the hearts of love and willingness to serve that were characteristic of all involved.

A Church on a Life Changing Mission

"...I have never had a group impacted as strongly as I did on this JESUS Film trip to Guatemala... As a pastor few things excite me more than when people catch a passion for the kingdom of God...

EvangeCubes used to share the Gospel

"Our last night with the Cimaltanago Church ended with a worship service that concluded with a time of prayer in which the congregations literally were on their knees praying for the lost in both of our cities and for God's blessing and empowerment for each others churches. We were a people of two different languages and cultures, but after our week together we shared one heart and one mind.

"In one weeks time, 2 churches were impacted and empowered, a new church was planted in Guatemala, 345 people came to Christ, one of the teens from the Marysville church wants to be baptized and many of our Marysville people are now evangelizing in their schools, jobs, and neighborhoods."

- Still amazed, Rev. Brian Thomas,
  Marysville, Washington

The Brown and O'Neil families and the church people who went on these JESUS Film trips will never be the same. My challenge to you is to consider what you are doing that will make such a difference in the lives of hundreds of lost people but at the same time change your world or your children's/grandchildren's lives!

The souls won to Jesus by using the JESUS Film will never be the same. The souls touched by compassionate acts of love will never be the same. The adults and children on these JESUS Film mission trips will never be the same.

It may not be a JESUS Film mission trip, but your stand for Jesus is the most important step of action that you will ever take! Ask the Holy Spirit what Jesus experience He wants you to have today.

Blessings in the Name of Jesus,
