His Actions Spoke Volumes
As He Expressed His Love |
Last week, my ten year old son Landon and I were running errands in our pickup truck. As we rode along in silence, my brain whirred with the processing of what seemed like a hundred things. Quietly Landon reached over and slipped his hand into mine. He said nothing verbally yet his actions spoke volumes as he expressed his love. Peace and joy came over me.
Since I hug, kiss and love on him daily, he knows I love him very much. In fact, many evenings after our family prayer times and Bible story reading, he wants me to "finish praying" with him in his bed—like a p.s. time of prayer.

On another morning I looked out our kitchen window and saw Landon and 15 year old Heidi walking hand in hand up the country lane finishing their farm chores. Again, peace and joy came. I knew that this brother and sister truly loved each other as they worked together to complete the farm chores prior to breakfast. Again, nothing spoken, yet much communicated.
I am sharing these personal family moments today, not to bring attention to my family, but as a reminder of how much your heavenly Father loves you. No matter what your circumstances are, your Father God is constantly reaching His hand out to hold yours. With your hand in His, you can have the same faith and peace and joy which He sent to earth in the form of a child named Jesus.
