September has been an awesome month for both the JESUS Film Harvest Partners (JFHP) ministry and me personally.
At the ministry we are continuing to see thousands of people around the world ask Jesus into their hearts. Thank you for making this ministry possible with your prayers and financial support.
The JFHP ministry staff is the middle link between you, the donor/prayer partner, and the national Christians who make up the JESUS Film Teams and/or individuals who share the love of Jesus with the lost.
As of this week, we are in 100 countries and have made 45,334,423 evangelistic contacts resulting in 7,958,592 decisions for Christ. God is allowing us to be a part of changing the world for Him.
As for myself, I am doing something I have never done before--a 40-day fast. In July of this year, my good friend, Scott, and I were talking about praying and fasting as we rode on a bus to an unreached town in Ecuador, on the Pacific coast, to show the JESUS Film. I felt God calling me to do a spiritual fast, liquids only. Scott also felt God calling him to do the same.
I've heard many sermons and teachings on fasting and have done a one-week and 21-day “Daniel fast” and a few meals here and there, but never for 40-days. Having a fasting partner has made it much easier. Knowing and talking to my friend, Scott, on a daily basis has been such an encouragement. My prayer list continues to grow and I have seen God already answer several prayers in my first 28 days of my fast. I have felt more power and strength in my words, spirit and walk with Jesus than I have ever experienced before.
You should never do a 40-day fast without your doctor’s approval and supervision; however, based on my first 28-days, it has been a life-changing experience. I am not sharing this to boast, but to call each of us into a prayer life and relationship with our Abba Father that can help change us and the world.
The JESUS Film is only a tool which God has provided, but His power behind this tool, together with your support, is calling this ministry to a higher level than we could ever imagine.
