Dear Friends & Partners,

It was eighteen years ago, yet I still recall hearing the screams of my four-year-old son, Sterling, coming from our living room, "Help---Heidi is bleeding!"

Vickie and I raced into the room and found lots of blood and a screaming little toddler. Cuts on heads sure do bleed a lot!

Heidi was two years old and had accidently run into a support post between our dining and living room which had crown molding just above her eye level. The cut on her forehead was spewing forth.

After a trip to our local emergency room (where the staff came to know us by name after a few more episodes and a total of five children), Heidi had six stitches and came home to heal.

Today, like Sterling my son did for his younger sister, I am yelling, "Help---the people of Sri Lanka need Jesus!"

Would you be a part of the emergency room staff for Sri Lanka by sponsoring one of the 12 new JESUS Film teams desperately needed there? Would you help to provide 9 of the new teams with JESUS Film equipment so they can show JESUS?

Sri Lanka is a nation hungry for spiritual truth. Less than 6.5% of the 21 million people on this tiny island nation are Christians. And yet, like a precious and valuable pearl, the kingdom of heaven is being sought. The Gospel is being shared, and Christ's love is being accepted.

Sri Lanka aka "The Pearl of the Indian Ocean" knows only too well the suffering of its people and land. In 2004, a tsunami killed 35,000 Sri Lankans. In 2009, a 26-year civil war finally ended; but not before 100,000 people had been killed and 294,000 more displaced from their homes. This pearl of a nation has suffered, both internally and externally.

Remember, for every $3.00 you are able to donate, on the average, one person makes a decision to accept Christ. We need 12 people to sponsor a team in Sri Lanka for $15,000 per team for one year or more, and we need 9 people to purchase a set of equipment for $4,000 per set.
