JESUS Film Harvest Partners

Dear Friends and Partners,

Often, a story from one of our partners states what I would like to say, but better than I ever could. 

In June, JESUS Film Harvest Partners, hosted a World Challenge, a vision casting/fund raising dinner in Orlando, Florida.  About 350 people attended an evening filled with inspirational stories about what God is doing around the world through the JESUS Film.

Testimonials were shared from Partners who have chosen to support this ministry.  We learned that based on our 12 year history and return on investment, for every $1 donated there are three evangelistic contacts made; and for every $3 given, one person makes a decision for Christ.  Miracles are happening daily.

As a result of Kevin and his wife attending the Orlando dinner and being obedient to the Holy Spirit, I received this note from Kevin last week. 

Kevin wrote…  

Little did we know how attending the JESUS Film Harvest Partner dinner in Florida would radically change our lives. That night was the beginning of a great encounter with God where God began to reveal His will for a new chapter in our lives. As we experienced that evening, our hearts were touched by the impact of the JESUS Film Partnership and the stories and testimonies of changed lives. 

During the past year we had been sensing that God might be leading us in a different direction after being a senior pastor for 6 years, and we were open to what God wanted us to do with our future.  That night our hearts were stirred and we began talking about the possibility of going overseas and possibly teaching. 

We felt the Lord was asking us to give a one-time donation and the $360 a year pledge.  The money God asked us to give was a lot for us because we are a single pastoral income family with 3 children under the age of 5. After we had pledged the money and the night came to an end, someone handed us an envelope from an anonymous giver with the exact amount of the one-time donation that we had given.  We were overwhelmed and amazed. It was a little test of obedience for us, and God proved that He was faithful. It was so refreshing to see that others listen to the voice of God and obey Him, and how people can be such a blessing to others. How is this possible? No one else knew what we had pledged. Wow! We serve an amazing God.

Through a series of several other events during the week, God led us to go to Peru as 2 year volunteers... We are very excited about the next two years, and we are a little nervous because all this is happening so fast.  However, we know that we serve a God who is faithful and is our provider. It truly is amazing how God has been working in our lives, and it all began with the JESUS Film Harvest Partner dinner.

Our current needs are for:

• Several JESUS Film team sponsors for $15,000 per year, ($1250/month) and
• 35 sets of JESUS Film equipment for $6,000 ($500/month) -- Bangladesh has needs for five sets today -- and
• We need scores of $1 per day partners for three years ($30 per month) which results in 120 decisions for Christ per year.
