JESUS Film Harvest Partners

Dear Friends & Partners,

January is almost over in this New Year! Has your year started out like most other years or have you been able to make 2008 different in your life, or if you are married, your wife’s life, and/or if you have children/grandchildren, in their lives? Jesus is calling me out to a higher level in my spiritual walk with Him. He does not want 2008 to be just another year. We either grow closer to Him or drift away from Him. There is no such thing as standing still…in our relationship with Jesus, our wives, our children, or with each other. Jesus continued to know the heart of God even when He was in a human body on earth.

Men (excuse me ladies for a few words to the men), I am calling you out to be the man that God has called you to be. Many of us are passive in our relationship with God, or with the time we give our wives and children, or even our involvement in our Church or in Kingdom Building. By some reports, our wives are being forced to pick up the spiritual leadership in our homes or we are allowing 10% of the people at our churches to do 90% of the ministry. What happened to boys becoming men? Some males are still boys, not men, because we have become passive.

Jesus is teaching me to have no fear in 2008, but to trust him totally about everything in my life, including paying my bills when there is a shortage--not to worry. God’s Word tells me 365 times not to fear and fear is often a form of pride. He confirmed this recently while on a spiritual quest for more of the heart of God. As I sat in the middle of a field on a 500 acre ranch in the heart of Texas, everything was peaceful. A flock of small birds landed within a few feet of me, eating the food that God had provided. What a confirmation! If He provides for these birds, He will also always provide for me! After asking forgiveness again and confessing it to my prayer partners, I have no more fear. God’s peace has come over me in an awesome way.

Many of you are supplying spiritual food (along with other ministries who supply physical food and clothing) to thousands of people around the world through the Jesus Film Harvest Partners ministry. Your caring for the souls of the lost is similar to God providing food for the birds—spiritual food—eternal food. It takes both—spiritual and physical food. Your support and prayers are making a difference (just as we men are called out to make a difference in the lives of our wives and children). Men, let’s be men and, Church, let’s be the Church!
