The people testified, “He is praying for us day and night, we must receive Him today and follow Him as King of Kings.” The people all joined the local church and are serving Jesus.

Pastor Myrna was praying for a neighbor lady for two years. This lady accepted an invitation to attend the local JESUS Film showing. After the showing, she accepted Jesus in her heart and gave her testimony. She continues to be part of the church. Pastor Myrna’s prayers and the JESUS Film worked together to bring this lady to a personal relationship with Christ.

Ramiro owns a small snack place in the city park where we showed the JESUS Film. Even though Ramiro did not feel well, he watched the film. Through the JESUS Film, God touched his heart and he realized that Christ died for him. After the JESUS Film, he prayed to accept Christ as his Savior. He was glad he stayed to watch the film. The cell group leader visited Ramiro a week after the presentation and Ramiro is continuing in the ways of the Lord. Ramiro’s daughter Maria is also a believer now. They are very happy to attend Bible studies which meet in their community.

We worked with Akter to show the JESUS Film in his village. After the film began, a few members of another religion came and said, ’Who is showing this film? Stop this film show right now. If you do not stop it, we will break the projector and screen.’ Then we stopped the film. Akter talked with the group and told them that the film is not bad, it is a life story of a prophet. This religion also has prophets. We told them that our film is very good film and we can learn many good things from the film. We requested them to watch and if they found any bad things, then they can punish us. We started the show again and the group of people saw the whole film. After the film, they told us that it is good film and they learned much from the film. Then we gave them some booklets about Jesus.”

“My name is Delia and I am 57 years old. All of my life I’ve faced problems and thought everything was against me. I felt very depressed about life and was a negative person. All of this negatively affected my marriage to the point of destroying it. My wife and I separated, even though we had eight children. I was in a financial mess and often thought about suicide, or moving far away with the intent of abandoning my family.

Yet, I vividly remember one day some people came to my house to visit with us and invite us to see a movie. The JESUS Film really impacted me and I knew that I needed God in my life. However, I was too proud and stubborn to believe in Christ. Little by little I began to attend small group meetings and even hosted some in my home.

I’m not sure exactly how it all happened, but I ended up accepting the Lord after one year. My life had a complete turn around. I often think about how stupid I was to hold out so long. Now I feel clean, forgiven, and have a newfound joy and determination to be with my children. I have finally realized our God is great and merciful. He is everything to me. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

Gopesh, the leader of the village, was astonished at seeing the healing of a blind man by Jesus. After seeing the miracle Gopesh asked us, “How did Jesus heal this blind man? This is work of God.” We read Luke 18:35-43 and described how Jesus healed the blind man. When we were explaining this chapter, Gopesh was very impressed. The Spirit of our Lord touched his heart and he requested us to tell him more about Christ. Then Gopesh asked us to pray for his brother who had been suffering from stomach pain. On the spot, we prayed for his brother. After two days, we visited Gopesh and found that Jesus touched his younger brother and he was fully cured from his stomach pain. In that village, we distributed the booklet “The Story of Jesus of Nazareth” and preached about our Lord Jesus. Brother Gopesh, his five family members, and 12 other JESUS Film viewers accepted Jesus as their Savior and Lord. We started a new mission church in this village.

My name is Fernando and I am 24 years old. My life was complicated I lived in conflict with the whole world. I lived in conflict with myself and my family. I was holding a grudge against my parents. I hated life and people. I felt very empty. I tried to fill the empty space with friends and bad habits. This made things worse. My life got more complicated. I ended up living alone fighting and angry with everyone. All of this started to affect my health and I became very sick. I lived for eight years as a sick and bitter person. I arrived at the climax of my bad luck the day that I was in a motorcycle accident. The bike accident made me reflect on my life and I knew I needed to change but I didn’t know how. I tried with one thing and another but nothing filled my empty heart. One day, a friend came to my house and invited me to go with him to meet some people at a church. I accepted the invitation and when I arrived at the church, I could not believe what I saw. There were many very happy people, they seemed like they had no problems. This impacted my life. I heard the word of God for the first time and I said, ‘God please I want to be like them, come into my life.” With this simple prayer Jesus entered my life. Today I feel Him deep inside of me and finally I’ve found what I had been missing. Now I am a member of a church in Quito and part of the JESUS Film team. A few days ago I went as a volunteer missionary to the jungle of Ecuador to share the Word of God with the people. Thanks be to God!
