“We climbed on top of the bus and reached the village on time,” recalled a team member in Nepal. “When we reached the bus station, there were no busses. When asked, a waiting passenger replied, ‘There is no fuel for the busses to run.’ Our JESUS Film showing would have to be cancelled if we couldn’t reach the village. After waiting for an hour and constantly praying, a bus approached. It was completely full with nowhere for us to sit, so we climbed on top of the bus. God was faithful. We showed the JESUS Film and many people gathered to watch. We thank God for giving us the opportunity to reach the people of the village with the Gospel.”

     Pray for the teams as they travel from village to village to share JESUS.

“When I saw Christ being crucified, I fell to my knees,” testified Antonia in Nicaragua. “I live across the street from the park. When the team came around inviting people to the JESUS Film, I decided not to go. Once the movie started, I took a chair and sat outside my house where I could see the movie. I watched all of it. After the movie, I asked forgiveness for my sins and for His help to resolve the problems in my life. The team members came and spoke with me a week later. I shared my story with them. I am now very happy to follow Christ.”

     Praise the Lord for this new believer who first rejected the invitation!

“Jesus was crucified to save me,” testified Carlos in Mozambique. “I was invited by a team member to come see the JESUS Film. At first I rejected the invitation but later decided to see the film. It was so marvelous to be there that night. What impressed me most was to see Jesus healing people who believed in Him. He also took care of the poor people. I have no doubt that Jesus is my personal Savior. I want to belong to Him for the rest of my life.”

     Praise the Lord for new believers with a passion to follow Christ!

- Praise the Lord the Chicago Heights, IL church successfully delivered equipment for several ministry teams in the Philippines.

Of these contacts, 8,400,708 (17.7% of contacts) have indicated decisions for Christ and there have been 2,698,170 (32.1% of decisions) initial discipleship follow-ups. “I was very much against Christianity,” recalled a man in Myanmar. “There was a group of believers sharing about Jesus and showing the JESUS Film near my house. Their group was growing every day. When I looked at their lives, I wondered how they were so loving and caring within their unity. They often prayed for the sick and healed people. One evening, I felt the need to go and watch the JESUS Film. I saw Jesus die for all sinners. That evening, I gave my life to Jesus. Since then, I have faced many problems, but there is peace in my heart.”

Pray for the believers in this area to remain strong in their faith and witness.

“She had lost all hope of her heath being restored,” reported a team member in India. “A lady named Shantha, who had a blood disease, had been suffering for many years. After seeing the JESUS Film, she asked us to come and pray for her. We laid hands on her and prayed for her healing. She later testified that Jesus had touched her life and delivered her from the disease. She is now a strong believer in Christ. She invites new believers to come to her house for fellowship in the name of Jesus.”

Praise the Lord for the healing of this sister and her passion to share with others.

Urgent prayer request for a youth (NYI) ministry team in India: "Our district is going through attacks one after another. Thank you so much for your prayers for the church. Just this week our team was showing the JESUS Film in one town when a crowd of young people attacked our team members and damaged the equipment and the team members were badly bitten. One of them has six stitches because of the injury. Please pray for the team members and especially for the one who is injured. The police took our equipment, pray that the police will return the equipment to our team members."

Praise report for equipment delivery request:
- Thank you for joining us in prayer for groups to deliver urgently needed equipment to start new Youth (NYI) ministry teams. Several connections have been made and we praise the Lord that an interdenominational ministry group has agreed to deliver the equipment needed in Malawi (see list below). Progress has been made on the need for Brazil and we expect to report about that situation soon.

- Pray for the Northwest Nazarene University student group leaving tomorrow for the Ukraine and delivering discipleship resources to a new youth (NYI) ministry team.
- Pray for the San Clemente, CA Presbyterian church leaving Sunday for Malawi and delivering the much needed equipment to start a new youth (NYI) team.

“My kids were afraid all the time,” testified a woman in Peru. “My husband is an alcoholic and my kids grew up with many traumas. My husband was constantly violent. Many times I thought the only reason for life was to suffer. I wanted to die. But now I give thanks to God that He sent His Son to die for me on the cross. I have Jesus in my heart and He is my reason to continue with life. I am thankful for my friends who invited me to see the JESUS Film.”

     Pray for this woman’s family as they minister to her husband.

“My eyes were opened and I prayed for Jesus to save me from my sins,” shared a man in Nepal. “They began to show the JESUS Film and even though I was not interested, I stayed to watch it. After the film, I was not happy. The story told me that Jesus died for me, but I had been taught that I am a righteous man and do not need help with salvation. After arguing with the JESUS Film team, I went home. The next day the team came to my home and spoke with me for a few hours. They explained that I am a sinner and need the Savior. I believed them, and now I am happy to know Christ. I want to serve him all of my life.”

     Praise the Lord that the truth was revealed to this man!

“Christ Himself was calling on me,” confessed a man from Kenya. “One evening while I was walking home drunk, I passed by the market grounds and found a group watching a film. I was too drunk to care, but while lying in my bed at home, I began to pay attention to the sounds coming from outside. My younger brothers came home and were talking about the film. They were very excited, and said the film was to be shown again the next day. I decided to go. This time, in a sober state, I sat and watched the JESUS Film. My heart was filled with guilt and I started to cry. I accepted Christ into my life. Now, with the help of the local pastor, I am learning to stay sober.”

     Pray for all those who are struggling with addictions worldwide.

Please pray for each person attending the upcoming World Challenge event in Nashville, TN on April 25th. Pray that the Lord will bless this time of inspiration and commitment in a great way. World Challenges are major fundraising events for JESUS Film Harvest Partners. Pray that the Lord will speak to people’s hearts as they consider financially supporting this ministry.

In January 2007 we launched a new project in partnership with youth ministries (NYI) entitled: ONE MISSION: Youth Reaching Youth. The project is providing 24 sets of equipment to youth leaders around the world. Youth teams are using the equipment in diverse ways for evangelism, education, compassion, and leadership training at youth camps, schools, hospitals, and Christian concerts. The equipment is also being used in conjunction with AIDS ministry and mission churches.

We are excited to share the following reports from three of these teams:
-    Thailand: (pictured) "In January we rejoice that two people received Christ!”
-    Australia: Northern District NYI Camp had 65 attendees: "Having the JESUS Film equipment was awesome. We were able to show the JESUS Film, and questions were asked by some of the youth. We were also able to use the EvangeCubes!"
-    India, Eastern Maharashtra District: "We have helped start a new mission church near the railway station. Please pray that this group of new believers will grow."

     Praise the Lord for the way He is working through these youth teams.

“I had a vision to start a new church in the Three Kings neighborhood," testified Jorge, lay coordinator of evangelism in the Mexico East district. "We did a variety of ministry projects during the day and showed the JESUS Film at night. Many children and youth accepted Christ. As we began to disciple the children, we asked the parents to help their children with the discipleship questions at home. As a result, many of the parents wanted to accept Christ. Within a few weeks, the church grew to 17 people. After three and a half months, we now have 70 people attending church and all 70 are going through discipleship! We plan to disciple more new believers using the JESUS Film and EvangeCubes. Our goal is to evangelize and disciple 1,000 people.”

     May God continue to transform lives and bless the ministry of this church.

“What better way to spend Christmas day than to watch a Christmas movie?” thought a man in Kenya. “I had been drinking with my buddies to celebrate the holidays when we noticed large groups of people heading toward the primary school grounds. After following the crowds, we found the film showing and decided to stay. We watched the whole film and were touched. I realized I had been living an unworthy way of life. Christ died on the cross for me and my sins. When an altar call was made, I immediately went forward and accepted Christ as my personal Savior. Within a few days my friends accepted Christ too and now we are winning more of our friends for Him.”

     Praise God for the salvation of these men and their efforts to bring more people to Christ!

“Suddenly I felt a release in my chest by the grace of God,” testified Shazad of Pakistan. “One day, the JESUS Film team came to my village. Our villagers welcomed them warmly. I had suffered from a respiratory infection for three years and during the film I prayed for God to heal me. Now I am completely healed and a follower of Christ. I have stayed in very close contact with the JESUS Film team. I praise God for my healing and salvation."

     Shazad requested: "Please pray for my spiritual growth.”


"Ecuador Costa Norte is a district that is making great strides forward," reports the South American regional director. "The district has met their goals for new church plants and new members received over the past two years. They are aggressively using the JESUS Film ministry to accomplish their goals. They have managed over 20% growth in membership. In 2007 they organized two more new JESUS Film church plants."

     Praise the Lord for this exciting report!

- Pray for the Chicago Heights, IL group that leaves Saturday and is delivering JESUS Film equipment for new teams in the Philippines.
- Praise the Lord that a group from Canada traveling to a gospel-resistant country in the Caribbean was successful in delivering a set of JESUS Film equipment. This is truly a miracle.
- Praise the Lord that the Proclaimer Audio Bibles were successfully delivered to a gospel-resistant country last week.

"We went to train pastors and laypeople in Community Based Health Care (CBHC) in this remote mountain region," reports a missionary in Papua New Guinea. "We took JESUS Film equipment to use throughout the district. There are no roads in this rugged area. The only way to reach these people is by walking three days or taking a bush plane. Many of the people who came to be trained had walked two or three days to reach the church. [They] had never seen a television set; never held a remote control before.

"Sunday night the team started setting up the equipment for the JESUS Film. First the generator wouldn't start; then the DVD player stopped; then the projector and all the equipment stopped. We realized this wasn't a problem with the equipment and stopped to pray. These Christians are mighty prayer warriors. God touched the equipment, and all of it worked at the same time!

"The people began coming. This is a church that would hold 300 people in North America. There were over 1400 men, women, and children packed in! There was literally no ground showing! The windows were full of faces! We started the film. It was in Tok Pisin, the language most understood, so it was incredibly moving. When the crucifixion scene was shown, there were so many sobbing that the District Superintendent asked the team to stop the film so people could come forward to pray.

"It was like a flood! Soon the seekers at the altar were 15 people deep all the way across the church! God poured out his Spirit on us! When needs were met, we began the film again. Many lives were changed [two weeks before] Resurrection Sunday!"

Praise the Lord for this exciting report and the use of the JESUS Film with CBHC ministry.

“[Watching] the JESUS Film was the experience of a lifetime,” proclaimed Antonio from the Dominican Republic. “I felt the Lord touch my heart. He made me a happy man! He forgave my sin, cleansed my heart, and healed my life. He set me free. I give thanks to Him for loving me so much, for giving His life on the cross for me.”

Pray that those who see the JESUS Film will truly feel His love and His presence.

We give glory and honor to God for His many blessings!

“I have witnessed many die; I am lucky that I have met Jesus before my death,” testified an 89 year-old man in Sudan. “I have suffered a lot, running through the jungle from our country and to our country every time the war starts. The suffering in our country is too much for us. I received Jesus Christ as my Savior after seeing the JESUS Film. I am so happy there will be no more war in the Country of Jesus.” This man donated land for our new church.

     "Praise God for those who are willing to sacrifice their possessions for the furthering of Christ’s kingdom!"

“She didn’t want the baby so she decided to have an abortion,” a team member in Uruguay shared Sandra’s testimony. Sandra, a single mother of three, found herself with an unwanted pregnancy. She decided to take pills and herbs to kill the baby. One day, Pastor Gabriel invited her to a JESUS Film showing. After resisting at first, Sandra agreed to come and watch the film. Today, Sandra has invited Jesus into her heart. Her baby is due to be born soon. Sandra is also one of the leaders of the church in her neighborhood where her family attends with her.”

     Pray for other women who need Christ in order to make life-saving decisions.

“A woman expressed her desire to become a follower of Jesus and her husband beat her,” reported a team member in Bangladesh. “Mohosuri viewed the JESUS Film one night and later expressed her desire to be a follower of Christ, despite her husband’s objections. We went to visit her and her husband, Khitis. We patiently talked with him and prayed for him and his family. After many days of visits, Khitis expressed his desire to also accept Jesus as the Lord of his life. He apologized for his anger; now Khitis and Mohosuri have requested for us to pray for the rest of their family.”

    Praise God for this family’s acceptance of Christ in their lives.

As we focus this Holy Week on the death and resurrection of Christ,
we share the stories of those who will know eternal life
because of the Holy Spirit's work through the JESUS Film…

“I want to live freely as a Christian when I grow up,” testified a high school student in Myanmar. “I have a classmate from the Nazarene Church. She invited me to a church activity but my mother told me that although Christians are good friends, we were not to join their activities. Recently, my friend invited me to watch a free movie. I got a chance to see the JESUS Film and my heart was touched by the life of the loving Jesus. Now I am happy to join my friend at Christian activities. Please pray that my parents will not forbid me and punish me for doing this.”

     Pray for this student, and others who cannot freely praise God.

“I used to take my daughter, Arati, to the hospital constantly,” testified Mr. Bablu in India. “The doctors could not find anything wrong with her, yet she was weak with a frequent fever.” When the JESUS Film team went to this family’s town, they received an invitation to see the film. “My daughter liked the scene where Jesus raised a girl from the dead,” said Mr. Bablu. “After watching the film, my whole family decided to believe in Jesus.” Today, after many prayers from the Bablu family and the JESUS Film team, Arati is completely healed.

     Praise the Lord for those who are healed by the grace of Jesus Christ!

“For 25 years I had a miserable life,” testified a woman from Nicaragua. “My husband left me. When my children grew up, they drank alcohol and hit me. I thought my life would be better if I died. One day I saw a team showing the JESUS Film. It caught my attention and I stayed to watch the film. When it was over I stayed, thinking about how Jesus suffered much more than I have in my life. I accepted Jesus into my heart and my life has changed. I have peace and tranquility. I want to be a faithful servant of Jesus.”

     Praise the Lord for the restoration of this woman’s life.
