29 March 2006
In an update to the report posted in March 2004, translation is underway in several languages of the "My Best Friend, Jesus" children's discipleship booklet. (Go to New Children's tract for the original report.) The Asia-Pacific eWaveLink Newsletter recently reported the following: "Children in Thailand and Papua New Guinea are learning about Jesus through a beautiful colored booklet "My Best Friend, Jesus". In Papua New Guinea it was translated into Tok pisin. Children in USA and Canada gave generously to provide the funds in order to publish the booklets." A list recently provided by the World Mission Literature office reports that the booklet is currently in the translation process for the following list of languages: Africa English Portuguese French Swahili Chichewa Bemba Shona Ndebele Malagasy Kinyarwanda Amharic Sotho Siswati Asia-Pacific Tok Pisin Lisu Lahu Fijian Bahasa Indonesian Eurasia Hungarian Russian Polish Ukrainian Romanian Kosavar Bulgarian Uzbek Macedonian Mexico-Central & South America Spanish
