The news is filled with a global pandemic, wildfires, and numerous other displays of division and destruction. One headline summarizes it like this: “2020 is an American Nightmare that is Wearing Us Out.”
This leads the world to say: This year is a wash.
However, God says: There is always a reason to hope. “We think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 1:3)
“In these difficult, uncertain times, I was burdened with unknowns.
Making the decision to accept Jesus has been one good thing that
came from this pandemic. Over the last months of believing in Him
and receiving discipleship, I have cultivated lasting hope.”

The world says: Determine what you believe based on the circumstances around you.
God says: Look to who He was, is, and always will be. “We walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)
“During this pandemic, I’ve had the worst time of my life. I couldn’t do my job as a taxi driver because of the lockdown.
I wasn’t living in the moment because I feared where my family and I would get our next meal.
We gave our lives to God after watching the JESUS film,
and the church provided us with food. The Lord is always good!
We pray God will provide donors to reach even more people.”

God has amazing ways of fulfilling His purposes! Teams know it only takes a willing, faithful person to bring the light and hope of Christ into places of great despair.
Since the global pandemic began in March, JESUS Film teams have found ways to creatively share the gospel over 8,200 times, leading to more than 97,000 new brothers and sisters in Christ!
Be encouraged by the impact you are making by praying and giving today, friends. God’s plans far exceed the circumstances of our day, month, and year.
You are loved.
