August - Week 1

Prayer Points

  • From Ghana Team #11: “Pray that our ministry will help build bridges between two rival communities in our area.”
  • Pray for those who claim to be Christian but who do not have an authentic faith to be transformed by the power of the true gospel.
  • Pray that government leaders might seek guidance from God, and not from human philosophies or spirits.

August - Week 2

Prayer Points

  • Pray for Christ-followers to walk in forgiveness and love and to experience freedom from fear of evil spirits.
  • From Angola Team #2: “Pray that God grants us good health to continue working for Christ.”
  • Pray that the Church will continue to be at the forefront of combatting poverty and trauma after decades of war.

“My name is Nicole and I am 9 years old. The JESUS Film Team came to my school to show the film. I learned how Jesus suffered because of our sins. I was sad and realized how much people hurt those around them. I decided not to hurt my neighbors or classmates. When someone is struggling, I want to help bring them joy. I want to be generous like Jesus and help others through difficult times. I pray that I can follow His example and show love to those around me.”

August - Week 3

Prayer Points

  • Pray for the people to reject ethnic hatred, embrace the gospel, and demonstrate love and forgiveness.
  • Pray for the Church to have a good influence in society and leadership, to make life better for all people.
  • Pray that JESUS Film Teams bring long-term peace and stability in the lives of people in this new country.

August - Week 4

Prayer Points

  • Pray for the light of Christ to liberate those held captive by witchcraft and extremist religions.
  • Pray for leaders in Malawi, most of whom are church members, to act with wisdom, humility and long-term planning on biblical principles.
  • From Malawi Team #9: “Pray for our safe travel, as our area is mountainous and vast.”
