Will you pray with us this August?

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”

August - Week 1

Prayer Points

  • Pray that JESUS Film Teams will embrace their identity in Christ and proclaim the gospel without shame or fear of persecution. Ask for the light of Christ to shine brightly through them, so that many, including their persecutors, may come to know Him as their Savior.
  • Pray for God to impact the hearts and lives of leaders in nations where persecution occurs. Ask that any laws meant to hinder evangelism, discipleship, church planting, or the rights of Christians will be turned down.

August - Week 2

Prayer Points

  • Pray for the high population of atheists and agnostics in Uruguay to experience the truth of Jesus.
  • Pray for a renewed value for life in the face of rising depression, abortion, and suicide rates.
  • Pray for the JESUS Film Teams to raise up righteous and equip pastors to lead the new believers.
In one community, there was a boy who had been unwell for six months. His parents brought him to our team and we prayed over him. The Lord answered our prayers, and shortly afterwards the boy told us he was feeling much better. We thank God for this answered prayer.

August - Week 3

Prayer Points

  • Uganda Team #5 requests prayer to protect them, guide them, and empower them to fulfill His calling.
  • Pray for a deep hunger for God and His Word in the Ugandan Church.
  • Pray that a nation with such a high proportion of Christians and a high proportion of children might produce a generation that truly knows and loves the Lord!

August - Week 4

Prayer Points

  • Pray for peace and stability in the government after decades of corruption.
  • Peru Team #3 requests: “May God give us wisdom so we can proclaim the gospel with boldness and urgency.”
  • Pray for Christians to boldly oppose sin and injustice while also ministering to the poor and oppressed.
