🌟Will you pray with us this December?🎄

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (NIV)

December - Week 1

Prayer Points

  • Pray for gospel clarity and gospel-shaped convictions in Ugandan churches. Pray that teams can help new believers identify idols and disciple them to genuinely hunger for God’s Word.

  • Teams ask for prayer for their health and safety, as they often share the gospel in places that increase their odds of getting malaria.

  • Praise God for this report from team #6: “We have seen the Lord saving His people, many have been healed, and other groups have invited us to minister in their villages. JFHP is bringing unity amongst other denominations!”

December - Week 2

Prayer Points

  • This past year, teams were able to revive numerous dying churches by showing the film and discipling believers. Pray that God provides and equips teams to mentor a strong person of peace to shepherd each of these revived churches.

  • Idol worship, shrines, and voodoo are very common in Ghanaian culture. Pray that the bond of dark powers will be broken and for masses of people to come to know the mighty name of Jesus.

  • Teams have encountered setbacks after unusually heavy rains. Pray that nothing stops teams from bringing the gospel throughout their nation.

I always thought life would be easy for my brothers and me because we were born into a very powerful family. We were all bathed with a powerful herbal concoction that made us strong. We always bullied others in our community. Our way of life attracted more enemies to us. We suffered the consequence of our actions and never had peace. Things changed for me after I watched the JESUS film for three nights at the park. I gave my life to Jesus because He spoke to me personally, especially when he said we should love our enemies. When He said He came to set the prisoners free, I realized I needed that freedom. I am going to share Jesus with my brothers!

December - Week 3

Prayer Points

  • Years of fighting between government and opposition forces in South Sudan killed almost 400,000 people and displaced millions until a peace agreement was signed five years ago. Pray for refugees as they return to their homeland, navigate unknowns, and seek to rebuild their lives. Pray for God’s perfect peace and stability to become deeply rooted in hearts and lives around the country.

  • South Sudan is the newest country in the world. Pray for churches to remain united as they model peace and reconciliation to a watching world. Pray for Sudanese believers to be the hands and feet of Jesus to a hurting nation.

December - Week 4

Prayer Points

  • Gun violence and kidnappings are on the rise in Cameroon, amidst a six-year ongoing war. Pray for war to be replaced by God’s peace, and for weary people to have powerful encounters with eternal hope.

  • The rough state of the roads makes reaching remote areas more challenging for teams. Pray for their safety and fervor as they continue to bring the Good News to these communities.

  • Over 4 million Cameroonians have yet to hear about Jesus. Pray for more believers willing to join JESUS Film teams to share the gospel.

Thank you for continuing to pray for the 1,109 JESUS Film teams!
