So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

July - Week 1

Prayer Points

  • Teams request prayer for God’s presence and wisdom as they extend His Kingdom to unreached places in Uruguay.

  • Uruguay is known as one of the most secular nations in all of Latin America. Pray for convincing demonstrations of God’s power in the highly secularized society.

  • The last 20 years have witnessed significant growth in a country previously resistant to the gospel. Praise God for His work and this growth. Pray it will continue and that these new believers will be discipled and pastored effectively.

July - Week 2

Prayer Points

  • Pablo, leader of Chile team #4, shared “Restrictions have just begun to be lifted. It is costly to regain trust; however, God is always faithful.” The pandemic left lingering effects on Chileans, including increased fear and domestic violence. Pray for teams to find creative ways to reach those living in darkness with the light and hope of Christ.

  • Teams request prayer as they struggle with discouragement, low attendance, and internet connectivity issues while attempting to reach those living in remote areas. Pray for teams to be encouraged by the many gospel seeds they are planting as they minister each month.

Vanina had cancer and was transferred from hospital to hospital. Doctors could find no solution for her, and she was sent home to die. She attended a Preaching Point service as a last resort. The Lord healed her, and the doctors could not believe it! Vanina was reconciled to God and accepted Him as her healer and savior. She now lives very gratefully.

Argentina team #15 report

July - Week 3

Prayer Points

  • Teams request prayer for wisdom to recognize which are the best strategies to share the gospel across social, economic, and cultural boundaries.

  • Pray for the Lord’s favor in places where the film is projected, including good weather, well-functioning equipment, and no problems with the police or local leaders.

  • Pray for the Argentinian Church to saturate the nation with Christian values, and for the true gospel to be deeply known and widely shared.

July - Week 4

Prayer Points

  • Ecuador teams shared they encounter difficulties due to the nationwide strikes, assaults and kidnappings by gangs, and rising crime. Teams request prayer that God opens doors in dangerous places and sensitizes the hearts of those they evangelize.

  • Ecuador has long been marred by political turmoil and poverty.  The country’s history has been filled with corruption and rebellion. Pray for God to provide and train workers equipped for addressing the physical and spiritual poverty of their nation. Pray for teams as they minister to these lost, lonely, and hurting, especially in parks and hospitals.

Thank you for continuing to pray for the 1,109 JESUS Film teams!
