🌍 Will you pray with us this September? 🙏

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

September - Week 1

Prayer Points

  • Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world. Many churches that are committed to preaching the gospel are struggling financially and facing great spiritual warfare. Pray for the economic empowerment of Christians so they can access solid resources and be strengthened through discipleship.

  • The church in Malawi is facing a deficit of leaders marked by godly character and sound doctrine. Pray that God raises up a generation of believers who are hungry and thirsty after His Word and mission.

September - Week 2

Prayer Points

  • Niger has experienced recent turmoil amid a military coup. Sambieni, leader of team #2, shared, “The population is thirsty for peace, security, and deliverance.” Pray for a peaceful resolution to this violent conflict, and for  difficulties to drive many to the gospel. 

  • The spiritual effects of demonic oppression and radical religions hinder many from following Christ. Pray the Lord removes every barrier to the knowledge of Him.

  • Pray for Nigerien team members to have continued strength to expand God’s Kingdom and find refuge in Him each day.

I am thankful for the JESUS Film team who had courage to come to our village. It has been a long time since anyone came here to talk about Jesus because of the powerful fetishes in this village. Today, we watched the film, heard everything Jesus said, and saw how He died for us. I decided to give my life to Christ right away. Please pray I have strength to always follow Jesus.

September - Week 3

Prayer Points

  • Extremist groups took control of northern Mali in 2012, burning down churches and forcing out many Christians. As churches attempt to rebuild while still facing threats, pray they can shine the light of Christ while being marginalized and mistreated. Pray also for unity in the body of Christ as Malian believers endure persecution together.

  • Pray that God opens doors for JESUS Film teams to effectively reach the 43 unreached people groups in Mali.

September - Week 4

Prayer Points

  • Pray for God to lead JESUS Film teams to areas where no witness for Christ is present, and that they will find receptive hearts.

  • As teams share the gospel in places where voodoo and ancestor worship dominate hearts and lives, pray that the bond of dark powers and the influence of secret societies will be broken.

  • Praise God for the 60 Preaching Points planted in the last year! Pray that teams can help equip these church plants establish to a solid foundation through discipleship and leader training.
