Mission: Harvest Kit

"Act Locally, Reach Globally"

Preaching & Teaching Resources

The Mission: Harvest Kit provides a four-week sermon series, “New Life in Jesus,” with age-appropriate Bible studies that call believers to share the Good News locally and globally. Rooted in four post-resurrection appearances of Jesus, these resources equip churches to understand Christ’s commission, reach the unreached in their own communities, and engage in God’s mission to impact the world.

Sermon Series

New Life in Jesus

This sermon series focuses on the Biblical call for Christians to take the Good News of the Gospel to those who are not yet Christians. The series utilizes four post-resurrection appearances of Jesus to His followers in which He commissions these men and women to share the Good News with others. Jesus meets these people amid their sorrow, doubts, misunderstandings and even ignorance, and offers forgiveness and commissioning instead of rejection and criticism. Like those first Christians, Jesus also meets us amid the realities of our daily lives and not only offers us salvation, but commissions us as well to share the Good News with others.

New Life in Jesus

What we think we need most from Jesus is oftentimes not what Jesus knows we truly need from Him. Each of the characters to be studied in this series thought they knew what they needed most from Jesus. It could have been security, or acceptance, or riches, or power. When Good Friday came and Jesus died on the cross, all hope of those desires becoming true vanished. However, after His resurrection, Jesus encounters each of these individuals and imparts to them what they truly need…a full reconciliation with God.

Peter: From Failed Disciple to Faithful Witness

This series of Adult Bible Studies will focus on the transformation in Peter’s life as Christ expands Peter’s understanding of salvation, the Kingdom of God, and Jesus’ mission to the world. As was common in Peter’s day and location, Peter grew up assuming the promised Messiah would be a Jewish leader for the Jewish people. However, God’s Kingdom is not limited to one people or one location. God’s Kingdom is for all peoples in all lands. Jesus truly died to save anyone and everyone, regardless of their past, religion, or race. Over the course of this study, students will be challenged to see how their understanding of salvation and the Kingdom of God may also be too small.
